We have a limited number of volunteer spots that we need to fill for set up, tear down, and night of the event duties.
Friday July 17, 9am to 1pm: SET UP CREW
We need SIX people to set up tables and chairs in the covered arena. Involves lifting (some heavy, some not), hauling, and counting. Set up can be sweaty work; gloves and comfortable shoes for walking in the dirt footing of the arena are a must.
Saturday July 18, 3pm to 10pm: NIGHT OF THE EVENT VOLUNTEERS
We’re looking for about 15 lively, outgoing people who love SAFE and love to talk about SAFE! Duties will include selling raffle tickets, spotting bids during the live auction, greeting and directing our guests, and generally being friendly, enthusiastic, and welcoming to the people who are attending the event. Dress code is informal with a bit of country/western flair, and closed toes shoes or boots are a must.
Night of the event volunteers must commit to:
- Attending an all-hands volunteer training Zoom meeting on Monday July 13 at 6pm
- Reviewing any training materials provided to you before the event and asking questions if you have any
- Arriving early on the day of the event (probably 3pm) and staying until the night (or your job) is over (probably 9-10pm)
- We will feed you a scrumptious dinner catered by Jones BBQ at around 4pm before the guests arrive
- There will be vegan/vegetarian options included with the dinner (vegan pulled jackfruit, Mac & Cheese, etc)
- Displaying tireless enthusiasm, joy, and a can-do attitude during the event
- Waiting until the auction is over to enjoy a glass of wine or a beer (probably by 9pm)
PLEASE UNDERSTAND…
…there are a limited number of spots available for volunteering at Heart, so depending on how many people are interested, we may not have room for everyone. If you’re not selected for a volunteer role, you are welcome to come by for a beer or glass of wine after 8pm and celebrate the close of the live presentation from the bar area.
